The World Endurance Championship took the unusual step of cancelling qualifying for this weekend’s round due to sever rain at Fuji Speedway.

The lap times set during practice were therefore used to decide the grid. Jules Gounon and Victor Martins claimed pole position for Alpine with a lap of 1’29.304 in the second practice session.
