Andrea Kimi Antonelli will not take part in Thursday’s pre-event media activities in Mexico because he is unwell.

Mercedes say the championship leader will not attend the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez today due to a viral illness. They expect him to return in time for the start of practice on Friday.

Antonelli is poised to clinch the world championship in this weekend’s race. He is guaranteed the title unless he fails to score and either George Russell or Lewis Hamilton win the race.
