Ugo Ugochukwu clinched the 2026 Formula 3 championship with a second place finish in the final race of the season at the Madring.

He and rival Freddie Slater went into the final race tied on points at the top of the championship table. Ugochukwu took second on the grid, Slater eighth, and the pair finished where they started.

UUgochukwu, who was a member of McLaren’s driver development programme until this year, has clinched two titles this year. The 19-year-old American also won the Formula Regional Oceania title in February, also ahead of Slater.

Tuukka Taponen (pictured top) won the final race of the season for MP Motorsport, securing third place in the championship.
