Revenge for Japan in Nations Cup win

EDDIE Jones’ Japan beat Fiji 20-15 to claim the Pacific Nations Cup for the first time since 2019.
The Brave Blossoms had lost to the Flying Fijians in both the 2024 and 2025 finals in Hanazono and Salt Lake City, respectively, but they got their revenge in Tokyo, coming through in the final 10 minutes to snatch victory in a topsy-turvy match.
Full-back Sam Greene put Japan ahead with an early penalty but Fiji took the lead when former French star Virimi Vakatawa scored a converted try four minutes later.
