Sri Lanka are set to play Tests in Pakistan for the first time since 2019. The two Tests will begin on November 9 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, and on November 17 at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Pakistan had clinched that 2019 series 1-0. However, they are going through a rough phase, having lost seven of their nine Tests in the ongoing World Test Championship cycle. will lead the side that no longer includes Shan Masood, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, or Mohammad Rizwan. They have called up an uncapped duo of Ali Shabbir and Saqib Khan, and recalled Tayyab Arif and Aamer Jamal.
Sri Lanka will be led by Kusal Mendis, who has decided to play as a specialist batter, with Anjala Bandara likely taking the wicketkeeping responsibilities. Pathum Nissanka has returned to the fold in the longer format, while Eshan Malinga could be in line for a debut.
As for the match timings, each day's play is scheduled to begin at 9:30am local time (10am IST / 4:30am UK time).
