On This Day: Bottas wins as Verstappen regains points lead from Hamilton | Brief

Five years ago today Valtteri Bottas scored his 10th grand prix victory, and most recent win to date, in a soggy Turkish Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen reclaimed the championship lead from Lewis Hamilton by taking second place. Hamilton, who was quickest in qualifying but started 11th due to a power unit change penalty, came in fifth.

Esteban Ocon scored the final point in 10th place despite not making a pit stop and using the same set of intermediates from start to finish. He was aided by Alfa Romeo’s Antonio Giovinazzi ignoring an instruction to let his team mate Kimi Raikkonen overtake him.
