8am (all times BST)Matchday live
There will be plenty to talk about in the world of football on Saturday morning. As well as building up to Saturday's four Premier League games, will be looking at the fallout from Frank Lampard's return to Everton with Coventry on Friday night and reaction to Thomas Tuchel's last England squad of the year. But it's also FA Cup first round proper day, when League One and League Two sides find themselves pitched against other lower-division sides or at risk of being giantkilled by non-league clubs. There's also a Savage occasion on Saturday night at London Road, when Robbie's Peterborough take on the Reading side for whom his son Charlie plays. Send your thoughts on all the issues to matchday.live@theguardian.com, and let us know if you are off to one of those Cup ties.
12.30pmLeeds v Tottenham
It's very tight in the Premier League's mid-table, with three teams on 12 points and four on 11 occupying the places between eighth and 14th before this round of matches. One of the latter category host one of the former on Saturday, with Daniel Farke and Roberto De Zerbi fairly happy with their positions right now but aware that Leeds and Tottenham both need to push on if they are to stay properly clear of relegation talk and instead push claims for places in Europe. is your live host, while reports from Elland Road.
2.10pmScotland v New Zealand
North and south/east are meeting all this weekend as the second half of the inaugural Nations Championship builds towards its climax at Twickenham on the last weekend of the month, and the All Blacks' trip to Murrayfield is the pick of the day's matches. Scotland have still never beaten New Zealand, and the worry for Gregor Townsend's team is that after some severe stumbles the visitors are back on firm footing. is your guide minute by minute, while is in Edinburgh.

3pm
There are two 3pm kick-offs in the Premier League, with Arsenal hosting Hull and Newcastle at Fulham, and will have all the news from the leaders' meeting with the playoff winners and a meeting of the dissatisfied at Craven Cottage. In the FA Cup first round, we will be on the lookout for shocks. Perhaps there will be one at Boreham Wood, where the runaway leaders of the National League are at home to the 2013 winners, Wigan. There are also some all non-league ties, including the phoenix club Salisbury FC of National League South at home to Sholing of the Southern League Premier and Dover, another National League South side, hosting Wealdstone, one step higher. If you are at any of the ties, let Barry know what's going on.
5.30pmNottingham Forest v Manchester City
Oliver Glasner's move to Forest has not gone smoothly, as evidenced by his anguished comments after last weekend's defeat at Brentford that "I don't need to be liked. I'm not here to be liked. I'm here to bring success to this club." Manchester City aren't winning popularity contests at present, either, and have lost a couple of football matches, too, after their steamroller start – if Arsenal have beaten Hull in their afternoon game, then the visitors to the City Ground will kick off six points off the top. will follow events live, while reports.
6pm
After sealing the title in Mexico City last weekend to become the youngest ever F1 champion, Kimi Antonelli aged 20 and (almost) a quarter is back in action, as Mercedes seek to close out a first constructors' title since 2021 and the rest of the grid try to maximise their finishing places over the next four rounds. Estimates say each place in the team standings is worth about £7m. Ferrari should take second place, holding a 122-point advantage over Red Bull, but the squabbles between Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc aren't helping, while it is still fairly close between Red Bull and McLaren in the battle for third. Join for qualifying live, while reports.

6.45am and 9.05am
It's a double-header in Sydney, as the Jillaroos take on Fiji in the women's tournament before the Kangaroos face Samoa, as the World Cup hosts aim for places in the following Sunday's Brisbane finals. is on minute-by-minute for the women's match, while looks after the men's, and reports on both.

It's another bumper Sunday of Premier League action and , and Tim de Lisle will have all the buildup to the games as well as picking over Saturday's action. Depending on results, a manager or two could be brushing up his CV. Liverpool Women v Arsenal Women
A week after the men's team won at Anfield, Arsenal's women arrive badly in need of victory: the once all-conquering Gunners are only in the top half on goal difference, thanks to Alessia Russo's late equaliser against Aston Villa last Sunday. Liverpool are in 11th but with the same goal difference (minus one) and only two points fewer, but after last week's 4-1 defeat at West Ham they have won only one of their last seven. has the live blog while reports.
2pm
Before that game at Old Trafford, the Europa/Conference League rearrangements mean Brighton v Brentford, Crystal Palace v Liverpool, Sunderland v Chelsea and Ipswich v Bournemouth are all at 2pm. will be going around the grounds, seeing if Brighton can hang on to the leaders' coattails; if one of Liverpool and Palace can manage a win after three defeats and a draw between them across four matches in the previous week; if struggling Sunderland can get a much-needed win against Chelsea; and if Ipswich can maintain their mid-table status against the Europa League's all-conquering Bournemouth.
3.10pmEngland v Australia
With finals weekend of the inaugural Nations Championship coming up at the end of the month, England would love to be back at Twickenham on the Sunday, you would imagine, when the top team in the north plays the top team from the south. What, though, if Steve Borthwick's side lose to Australia? They might still get a Sunday match – but in the fourth v fourth warm-up against, say, France or South Africa. England need a clean sweep and South Africa to beat France next weekend in order to make the grand finale, and will take you through their efforts live while , and report from south-west London.
4.30pmManchester United v Aston Villa
It's the last Premier League game before an international break that could open up the managerial merry-go-round, despite being the old-style two-weeker rather than the three-week one that straddled September and October. Michael Carrick will be trying to build on Manchester United's thrilling comeback against Roma, while Unai Emery will hope Aston Villa can respond to his latest defeat at the Camp Nou. Tim de Lisle will have all the live updates, while and report from Old Trafford.

5pm
It's so nice they named it thrice: the grand prix venue can be referred to as the city of São Paulo; as the Autódromo José Carlos Pace; or perhaps most famously by the neighbourhood it sits in, Interlagos. If it wasn't for that pesky kid, then this could be a title race for the ages: Max Verstappen is two points ahead of Lewis Hamilton, who is nine ahead of George Russell, with Charles Leclerc five more back. And even Lando Norris is within a win of Leclerc, and has twice as many race victories as the Monégasque and Hamilton. is on the live blog, while reports.
5.30pm
It's week nine, no one can go unbeaten now, and will have news of the crop of 1pm eastern, 6pm GMT kick-offs. They include the meeting of two table-toppers, though it's fair to say the AFC West's 6-and-2 Broncos are in better shape than the NFC South's 3-and-4 Panthers, who are hosts. Other matches include the Jets at the Chiefs and the Lions at the Dolphins. Graham will also have news of the 9.30am eastern/2.30pm game between Atlanta and Cincinnati, the NFL's first visit to Madrid.
