Batting first, India posted 183-5 on the back of fifties from Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma, who scored 59 and 68, respectively. Shree Charani and Deepti Sharma then shared seven wickets between and gave away a combined 39 runs in eight overs to keep Sri Lanka down to 111.

India were placed third with 262 rating points ahead of the tournament, and held onto the position while also gaining a point after their title win. Sri Lanka overtook West Indies to go sixth, having gained a point with their run to the final. Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa occupy the first, second, fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
Pakistan and Bangladesh are placed eighth and tenth with 211 and 196 points, respectively. Thailand remained 12th but gained a point to get to 154, whereas United Arab Emirates stand 15th with 137 points to their name. Hong Kong and Indonesia remained 22nd and 23rd, respectively.
