Latest ICC men’s T20I team rankings: Updated table after India whitewash Afghanistan

India made light work of Afghanistan to clinch the three-match T20I series 3-0. Here are the updated ICC men’s T20I team rankings.

India cruised to a comfortable seven-wicket victory in the first T20I. Azmatullah Omarzai’s unbeaten 64 had rescued Afghanistan from 43-5 to a respectable 156-8, but Abhishek Sharma starred with a blistering 32-ball 82 to take his side through. The second T20I was almost a carbon copy of the first. India managed the exact same result (a win by seven wickets), riding on the performances of Nitish Kumar Reddy (3-0-24-3) and Sanju Samson (22-ball 57).

Abhishek Sharma, who also went past Sahibzada Farhan in the latest men’s T20I batting rankings after his exploits in the series opener, batted Afghanistan out of the contest in the final T20I. He registered the fastest T20I hundred (30 balls) for a full-member batter. His 34-ball 108 helped India get to 221-7 and eventually register a massive 127-run win.
