James Pater always had George Furbank as a role model – now he is he is doing a decent impression of the England full-back at Northampton Saints.

Furbank left the club at the end of last season, for Harlequins, and Pater, still just 19, spotted a chance to join the fun in the champions’ backline.
The teenager did just that last Friday.
He scored a hat-trick in Saints’ 59-26 opening win over Newcastle Red Bulls, when Furbank was hardly missed.
