The fifth season of the tournament will run from Saturday, November 21 to Sunday, December 20, 2026.

How much money will each ILT20 franchise have at the auction?

Each franchise will enter the auction with a US$ 1.3 million purse. They will also be able to use any money left over from the US$ 700,000 initially allocated to each franchise for direct signings and retentions.

By the end of the auction, every franchise must have spent at least US$ 1.5 million and no more than US$ 2 million. This excludes a wildcard player that can be added after the auction.

How many players can each ILT20 team have?

Every franchise must finish the auction with a squad of 18 to 23 players. There are also several nationality-based requirements that teams must satisfy. Each franchise must have at least:

• 11 players from ICC Full Member countries

• Four players from Afghanistan within those Full Member players

• One player from Ireland within those Full Member players

• Four players from the UAE

• One player from Kuwait

• One player from Saudi Arabia

• One additional player from an ICC Associate country, excluding the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia

What are the base prices for players at the ILT20 auction?

The lowest base price for a player at the auction is US$ 10,000. Players can also nominate themselves at base prices of:

Player registrations for the auction took place between July and September, with the registration deadline set for September 12, 2026.

Full Member players and Associate players, apart from those from the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, were allowed to select their base price.
Afghanistan and Ireland players could also select their base prices.

To have a US$ 40,000 base price, an Afghanistan or Ireland player must have either been capped internationally or played in the ILT20 previously.

To set a base price of US$ 80,000, they must have made at least 100 international appearances, with Tests, ODIs and T20Is counted cumulatively.

Players from the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia all have a fixed base price of US$ 10,000.

How does the Right to Match card work in the ILT20 auction?

Each franchise will have four optional RTM cards available during the auction.

The four RTMs can be used for different player categories:

• One Full Member player who represented the franchise in Season 4, including Afghanistan and Ireland players

• One Associate player who represented the franchise in Season 4

• One UAE player who represented the franchise in Season 4 or was part of its Development Squad at the 2026 ILT20 Development Tournament

• One Kuwait or Saudi Arabia player who represented the franchise in Season 4

It is not necessary for a franchise to use all or any RTM.
