Worcestershire batter Adam Hose has signed a new three-year contract to stay with the county until the end of the 2029 season.

The 34-year-old, who joined the Pears from rivals Warwickshire before the 2023 season, has scored more than 2,400 runs in 46 first-class appearances, featuring 96 times in all formats and was made captain of the T20 side half-way through this year's competition.

Worcestershire finished fifth in Division Two in 2026, with Hose scoring 638 runs with one century and five scores in excess of 50, having spent six months recovering from a serious ankle injury suffered while playing in The Hundred in August 2025.

Hose signed a three-year deal towards the end of 2024 that was due to run out next summer.

"It was a pretty easy deal to sort," Hose told the Worcestershire website.

"There's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be setting our stall out to be back in Division One this time next year.

"In the white ball, we missed out very narrowly on a quarter-final place this year. There's no reason why we shouldn't be competing for all three trophies."

Head coach Alan Richardson said Hose was a "genuine asset" to the squad, growing into one of its "most dependable and valued figures".

"He has had a really tough and frustrating couple of years battling through injuries, but his resilience to fightback is very telling and says a lot about his character," Richardson added.

Hose is the second Worcestershire player to agree a new deal this month after wicketkeeper-batter Gareth Roderick signed on until 2028.
