England all-rounder Dani Gibson has signed a new deal to stay with Somerset until the end of the 2028 season.

The 25-year-old has played eight matches for Somerset over the past two campaigns, scoring 262 runs with a highest score of 77.

Gibson has played six One-Day and 35 T20 Internationals for England, scoring 722 runs and taking 21 wickets.

"Any opportunity that we have to get Dani back into our environment is always a positive one," said Somerset head coach Erin Osborne.

"She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience which you just can't buy.

"We've got a really young group, so any chance they get to spend time around players like Dani and learn from her is a really good one."
