Dafydd Jenkins has told his Exeter Chiefs squad to get on the board early in the Prem and urged them not to leave it as late as they did last term.
Jenkins missed Wales’ Nations Championship summer, after flogging himself at the end of the campaign, as he rehabbed his shoulder injury and reflected on Chiefs’ near miss.
The lock played through the pain as Chiefs beat Leicester Tigers and Saracens to make the play-offs then toppled Bath in the semi-final before a 26-17 defeat to Northampton Saints in the final.
